Fundraising cake sale
Michael (11yrs) is making carrot cake to sell at a cake stall for school fundraising, so he used the Nutrition Program to create his recipe and then see the nutritional analysis and the cost. He discovered that each portion cost 22p and reckoned that he could sell a slice for £1, so a profit of 78p. Each cake made 8 portions. To lower the fat he used Quark as the topping, and created a label which showed that the allergens were wheat and milk. The traffic lights on the label showed that the cake was rather high in fat – but it is a cake!

Here’s one we made earlier
If you’d like to test out the Nutrition Program but can’t think of a recipe then here’s one we made earlier. It’s a baked potato with ham and cheese.
